Beam and Gunite Wall

Beam and Gunite Wall

Steel pile wall with gunite facing behind a stone gravity wall

Segmental Wall

Segmental Wall

PCC designed and monitored construction of this 34-ft. tall geogrid-reinforced Keystone wall.

Soiled Nailed Wall

Soiled Nailed Wall

The sides of this quarry are stabilized with soil nailed walls with artistically carved and colored shot crete facing. The total height is 75 feet with individual walls of 10 to 40 feet in height. PCC worked for the design-build wall contractor on this site.

Reinforced Concrete Wall

Reinforced Concrete Wall

Reinforced concrete and masonry retaining walls generally have good longevity. The reinforcing can get complex and expensive even in a relatively small height wall. This is the foundation of a 2-tiered closely spaced concrete wall that PCC designed and monitored.

Cantilever Pile Wall

Cantilever Pile Wall

This building is supported on top of a wall that is acting as a retaining structure. The wall is made with steel cantilever piles and cast-in-place concrete facing. PCC, working for the developer, assisted the contractor in design and provided construction monitoring.

MSE Wall

MSE Wall

34-feet-tall Mechanically Stabilized Element (MSE) wall

Beam and Timber Wall

Beam and Timber Wall

This PCC uniquely designed wood wall is over 30 years old and looks almost new.

Stone Gravity Wall

Stone Gravity Wall

Beam & SRW facing

Beam & SRW facing

This wall is designed with steel piles and Segmental Retaining Wall (SRW) facing, which is less expensive than concrete facing.
